Aaron Keylock Releases “All The Right Moves”

Teenage guitar sensation Aaron Keylock releases his new single for All The Right Moves available to be listened to below. The track will come from his debut album Cut Against The Grain scheduled for release 20th January 2017. His style of music has been recommended for fans of Black Stone Cherry, Monster Truck and Joe Bonamassa.

Even before releasing an official single he has already been touted as one of the hottest new UK acts to watch out for. Kerrang! declared him as a new solo superstar (amongst names such as PVRIS and Knuckle Puck). He appeared on stage at Bloodstock 2014 with Metal Hammer writing: “It’s ludicrous that someone as talented as Aaron Keylock is a mere 16 years old but if anyone can shred like Gary Moore, this young buck can.” Total Guitar called the prodigy in one of their “ones to watch” following his appearance at Dot To Dot Festival stating “TG caught his set and we walked away with our brain thoroughly melted”. Finally Classic Rock wrote him in the Sounds and Class of 2015 and called him a “blistering and precocious talent.”

Aaron Keylock started learning guitar at age 8 and by 11 he was already playing clubs in his hometown of Oxford. At age 12, he argued with doormen who wouldn’t let him into clubs he was scheduled to play. He started doing Jazz Cafe, Ace Cafe and Alexandra Palace in London and started playing Biker Rallies across the UK. By the time he was 13 years old he was already getting advice from his hero Joe Bonamassa and by age 16 he took part in his first major UK tour supporting Blackberry Smoke.

The guitar prodigy has since gone onto play at Bloodstock Festival (2014) and Download Festival (2015) and has supported groups like The Answer, Wilko Johnson and The Graveltones. He also went back on tour with Blackberry Smoke once again supporting their 2016 Like An Arrow Tour.

Cut Against The Grain was recorded in LA with producer Fabrizio Grossi (Alice Cooper, Slash, Zakk Wylde) he combines some of his American influences with a distinct British sound to give an impressive sounding debut record.

Aaron stated in his press release: “Just One Question was probably the first song I ever wrote when I was 13. Musically and lyrically it was just a blues song and it’s funny to think it’s still with me and that I’ve been playing it for almost 5 years! Against the Grain was penned about 3 years ago now and has grown on the road; I had a Led Zeppelin style riff, mixed it with some Johnny Winter vibe and stamped my own style on it. I guess what I’ve always loved about Rock n’ Roll is that you’re free to express yourself in many ways and to use many guitar techniques to convey different emotions…My influences really vary! Falling Again was a song I wrote about trying to find my way through rock n roll as a 16 year old kid and Try is about feeling lost and trying to find somewhere that felt like home. I guess growing up in a small village in Oxfordshire and being the one 70’s inspired long haired hippie kid kind of influenced me as songwriter trying to find something to say”
