Triggerfinger Announce UK Tour

With their upcoming 5th studio album Colossus due out on the 25th August via Mascot Records, Antwerp’s Triggerfinger have announced a UK tour in October in support of this. Of the upcoming album, the bands frontman Ruben Block had the following to say:

“We wanted to get out of the rat race for a while. The first step was doing a few collaborations with other musicians that would kick us out of our comfort zone. It made us look at our songs in a different way. The second step was building our own little studio where we could work and wail 24/7. All amps on 10 at two in the morning? No problem! But there was more to it than sheer volume. The previous albums were all built on roaring energy and the live interaction between the three of us. That was not our main concern anymore. This time the song would be king. ‘Anything goes’, that was our motto. Acoustic instruments, samples, keyboards, percussion, two bass guitars: as long as they served the song, we were happy.

This must be the boldest thing we’ve ever doneWe’ve been fans of Mitchell Froom’s work for a long time, but working with your heroes can be a dangerous thing. Mitchell proved to be comforting and challenging at the same time. He opened so many doors for us, and with COLOSSUS he put us on track for the next few years.

Patent Pending Release Video For ‘Wasted/Wake Me Up’

Having just released a cover album titled Other People’s Greatest Hits, which is full of their takes on huge songs from other genres. Patent Pending have just dropped a video for their cover/mashup of Tiesto‘s Wasted mixed with Avicii‘s Wake Me Up. The video shows frontman Joe Ragosta in a bedroom covered in paint and through use of a boomerang-like effect with back and forth camera footage, the video shows how this situation arose. Check out the video below:

Of the thought process behind the idea, Ragosta had the following to say:

It’s very common and very easy for people to overlook EDM music. We wanted to make these two songs rock so people who would much prefer rock to EDM could hear these tremendous melodies and catchy sing along parts it in a more familiar way.”

The Hunna Announce London Show

“We have had such a great 2016 and 2017. Selling out shows across the country and getting our debut album, 100’, into the top 15 was an incredible achievement and we can’t thank the fans enough for helping us get to this stage. Being able to step up to the awesome Brixton Academy is next-level, and we guarantee that the fans that come down are in for a huge treat, as well as a few cool surprises!” – Ryan Potter, vocals

In This Moment Release New Track ‘Roots’

With their forthcoming sixth album on the horizon, In This Moment have released another new song from Ritual. The track titled Roots is a dark track full of bitter sass and anger. The video gives off a Blair Witch vibe with the shaky camera work and setting. Check it out below:

Of the upcoming album the band had this to say:
“It’s like we’re going into the next realm, I had a conviction of feeling empowered in my life and with myself.  I always write from a personal place, and I needed to share that sense of strength.  I’ve never been afraid to hold back.  Sometimes, I can be very suggestive.  However, I wanted to show our fans that this is the most powerful side of myself and it’s without overt sexuality.  It’s that deeper serious fire inside of my heart.” – Christina Brink, vocals.
“When fans hear this, I want them to feel the music, whether they take away sadness, anger, or happiness, as a kid, I remember listening to records and putting them on repeat over and over again. I’d love for the world to listen and absorb this as a piece of work.” – Chris Howorth, lead guitar.

Hands Like Houses Drop New Track

Australian alternative rockers Hands Like Houses have partnered up with Hopeless Records and UNFD to bring a new track to play on Warped Tour. Titled Drift, the track is heavier than last album Dissonants with a few real ‘get in the pit’ moments, but is ultimately true to form and unmistakably a killer Hands Like Houses track.
