Redwood have announced they have signed to Failure By Design Records. The group are fresh off a tour supporting Decade and will be announcing details of new material later this year.
Failure By Design states about the signing of Redwood: “We’re super excited to welcome Redwood to the FBD family, we’ve been friends with them for a while now and we’ve been not-so-secretly admiring their collective growth as a band for the last year. We’re really happy to be involved in the next steps of the band’s journey.”
The band said: “We’re very happy to be working with FBD. We’ve known the guys for a few years and we decided that now would be a good time to work together.”
Redwood come from Hertfordshire and draw on a range of genres from emo to post-rock, combining melodies with shimmering guitars and powerful choruses. Their live show is also being described as energetic, bold and emotionally powerful by the label.
The band have previously released their debut EP Blood Moon (2016) and their standalone single Night Garden/Aster (2017). Alex Baker has since championed the band on Kerrang! Radio and the band have appeared on stage with From Indian Lakes, Totorro, Fish Tank, Ducking Punches, Sam Duckworth (Recreations) and Yearbook.
Further live dates and new material are TBA.
