Jessarae the guitarist and solo artist has announced his new EP Stand In The Rain will be released November 29th. The artists previous EP Nobody’s Human went into the iTunes charts at Number 4 this Summer while his 10 date UK tour in the Summer completely sold out including a headlining performance at London’s 02 Academy 2 Islington.
Jessarae has signed to Island Records for Stand In The Rain which is astounding considering he is only 21.
Some of the people he has worked with most young songwriters come dream of. These include; EG White (Florence And The Machine, Adele), Mike Crossey (The 1975, Jake Bugg) and Iain Archer (James Bay, Snow Patrol).
These influences are felt throughout Jessarae’s music and gives context for the creative sound he makes on the record label. The singer has announced a UK tour for February next year, dates are listed below:
Wed 15th LONDON, O2 Islington Academy 2
Thu 16th SHEFFIELD, Plug
Fri 17th BIRMINGHAM, O2 Institute 3
Sun 19th EDINBURGH, Electric Circus
Tue 21st MANCHESTER, Sound Control
Wed 22nd CARDIFF, Globe
Thu 23rd LONDON, Boston Music Rooms
Stand In The Rain was recorded in both LA and London which the singer has both lived in (originally coming from LA now residing in London). Jessarae co-wrote and played guitars on all the tracks for this new EP with tracks Done Try’na (Save A Life), Lens and both an electric and acoustic version of Stand In The Rain.
Jessarae has already supported 5 Seconds Of Summer, Frances and Matt Corby so this tour might be the last time to see the singer in smaller venues.
If you’ve ever seen Kate Pavli‘s covers of tracks such as Evanescence and Foo Fighters, then you will be really excited to hear her new band Finding Kate!
Bringing a beautiful array of alternative rock with this new single ‘Forever‘, there is a great mixture of emotional verses and punchy choruses to boot. Kate’s voice flows over each section accompanied by the piano before the rest of the instrumentation provides something very enjoyable and matching that of a veteran band.
We here at Musicology have the privilege of giving you an exclusive listen/look at the new single/music video for said track. You can check it out below and make sure to pick up the album ‘If I Fall‘ on November 18th.

Michael Kiwanuka has announced an 11 date tour across the UK after the release of his eagerly anticipated second album Love & Hate.
After the successful release of his debut album Home Again back in 2012 which reached number four on the album charts, Michael Kiwanuka is releasing his follow up album on 15th July. Kiwanuka has gained a lot more experience since the first album supporting for the likes of Adele and he is showing us exactly what he has learned.
Kiwanuka said: “The confessional aspect is cathartic for me. You accept it, once it’s done, it’s out there. That’s the therapeutic nature of it. Now, I’m living in a way where I’m not apologising. My first album I was just worried about everything.”
