Heavy Scotland is back for 2018!

Heavy Scotland festival will return  in 2018 with a new date, lasting for three days from Friday 31 August to Sunday 02 September, at to Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange.

Exclusively playing in Scotland in 2018 are: metal legends Carcass, thrash titans Gama Bomb, Brazilians Nervose and local favourites Perpetua.

The news follows a highly impressive first year from Heavy Scotland, placing Edinburgh on the international metal map. Headliners Behemoth and Arch Enemy topped a stellar bill, which also included the likes of Fleshgod ApocalypseDestructionFinntrollHavok and more. Garnering local and international acclaim, Heavy Scotland is fast becoming Scotland’s national heavy metal festival, and is the largest of its kind in the country’s capital of Edinburgh. Heavy Scotland announce day splits

The day splits have finally been announced for this years Heavy Scotland and it will give you a chance to explore which day might be your favourite. From BehemothWarbringer and Sodomized Cadaver on the Saturday to Arch EnemyFinntroll and Ingested on the Sunday, it will be a weekend full of head banging all around!

Heavy Scotland Announces Havok And Blaze Bayley For It’s Inaugural Lineup Alongside Battle Of The Bands Events

Heavy Scotland have today announced that both US Thrash greats Havok and former Iron Maiden/current Wolfsbane vocalist Blaze Bayley will join the festivals first ever lineup.

The festival will be hosted by alternative tattoo model Femke Fatale. The lineups read as:

The festival is set to take place in The Corn Exchange, Glasgow and already features a great lineup featuring Behemoth (UK/EIRE Exclusive) and Arch Enemy as headliners, also appearing on the bill are:

Pre and after parties for the main festival are to be announced, but sadly entrance to the event is for 18+ only

The festival have also announced a Battle Of The Bands for an unsigned act to join this amazing bill. The lineups for this event have also been announced which take place on the 28th January, 11th February and 25th February at Studio 24, Edinburgh. The acts will also feature an exclusive headliner act across all the lineups.

All nights of the M.I.N.D Battles will include a Studio 24 after party. The events will also be broadcasted by Heavier Than Metal radio station. 

All the events are 14+ but under 18’s will have to leave by 11pm.
