LIVE REVIEW: Don Broco – Oran Mor Glasgow, 26/07/2016 & 27/07/2016

Don Broco brought their unique Priorities and Automatic tour to Glasgow’s Oran Mor for two nights of huge pop rock anthems.   whilst playing both albums on both nights, the band did indeed give stand alone classics You Wanna Know and Thug Workout a run out, as well as brand new single Everybody.

Priorities:

Probably the most crazy show out of the two night, priorities night had it all, the self titled track, hold on, fancy dress, whole truth, the lot.   The Glasgow crowd gave it everything, which Rob Damiani credits them with being “one of the best shows we’ve ever played.”   whilst the whole album was covered, the songs weren’t in the right order, not that the crowd noticed.   Broco took things to another level with new single Everybody, the crowd jumping up and down to the song’s catchy riff.   Bad Boys Badminton club returned to Glasgow in style as well with Thug Workout, with the audience turning Oran Mor into one massive mosh pit, even a small badminton court with a human net.   For old school Broco fans, this was truly a special night, with so many special songs that some may consider classics being played once again for the first time in, some cases, years.

Automatic:

Automatic night had a lot to live up to following the huge epic night that was Priorities.   That being said, it wasn’t as crazy as the night before, but it was a lot more funkier and more of a chilled vibe, which is what the album (Automatic).   Tunes such as Superlove, Self Titled track, What You Do To Me, Nerve etc.   The crowd danced and sang along with every lyric, and repeating the heroic moshes and crowd surfs of the previous night for Everybody and Thug Workout.   The night was a hoot and a half and Broco as always, put on one superb show.   Automatic is an album that showcases a side of Broco that some have stigmatised for years, but now seeing come to fruition, realise it’s a side that suits the band remarkably well.

If you missed all the fun and antics from the Priorities and Automatic tour, be sure to catch Don Broco touring the UK once again later this year, this time supporting Bring Me The Horizon in some of the UK’s biggest arenas.
