The Word Alive Announce Drummer Luke Holland Is Leaving

The Word Alive announced through a post on their Facebook page that their drummer, Luke Holland, will be leaving the band come the end of this year.

The band wrote; “Dearest TWA friends and fans, we’re writing you this afternoon with some bittersweet news, After almost five years of being a part of the TWA family, Luke Holland will be saying goodbye at the end of this year. The Overdose Tour will be his final tour.”

Despite Holland still planning on playing music the rest of the band support his decision to move on to other musical inspirations. However the band are encouraging fans to come out and see the band with Holland during this tour.

Discomfort And False Light Announce Split

Italian/British hybrid band Discomfort have announced they will be releasing a split alongside South Carolina’s False Light.

The release comes courtesy of Assurd Records (Italy), Epidemic Records (Italy), Eastrain Records (France) and Headfirst Records (USA), which is a bit of a technical marvel but surely only shows how good this is going to be.

Both bands are fully into the beatdown/sludge scene so if you’re into that, they’re definitely two to check out in advance of this release.

The record will be out on vinyl at the end of July, though a specific date has not yet been set.
