The Picturebooks release new single

The Picturebooks have released their new single “I Need That Oooh” taken from their upcoming album “Home is a Heartache” due for release on the 10th March.

The band had the following to say about the track

We were on a European tour and stopped at this very remote rest area in Wales to grab some food and to take a break, when Fynn had the idea for the song. The first thing he had was the line ‘I need that Oooh,’ basically meaning ‘I need inspiration and motivation’ — which was exactly what we needed at the time because we had been on tour for such a long time at that point. The rest of the song was written at the rest area without any instruments. Fynn was humming the guitar and melody, improvising lyrics, of which we kept 80% . Phillip was planing out drums in his head, various iPhone recordings were made right there and then. When we returned home, we went straight to the studio and finished the song in just a few days.”

Pre-order ‘Home is a Heartache’ now through iTunes or Amazon and receive an instant download of ‘I Need That Oooh’ and ‘Zero Fucks Given’.

The Picturebooks Sign With Another Century

Primal blue rock duo The Picturebooks have been extremely lately having signed with US based rock label, Another Century. The Picturebooks will be heading out on A Raw Youth European tour with Le Butcherettes in September.

The tour is not one to be missed as the band have excellent touring experience. They have played alongside Eagles of Death Metal, Kadavar, The Answer, and more, as well as performed at Riot Fest.

As well as all this, The Picturebooks have released a new video for The Rabbit and the Wolf. The song was featured in Imaginary Horse which was directed by Claus Grabke.

The Picturebooks said: “Nothing in the video for ‘The Rabbit and the Wolf’ is staged. We just filmed what happened on tour or when hanging around with our friends, riding choppers, skating etc. Some of it was filmed in Europe and some was filmed in the US. The lyrics in the song kinda describe us and the way we feel when being on tour, so it seemed appropriate to use mostly tour-footage for the video.  Most of the smaller locations in this video are what really made this band. People believed in us and gave us the chance to play, even before we were signed. We kept coming back till the place was finally packed. We owe these people a lot!”

Keep your eyes peeled for the band’s Another Century debut. See tour dates and watch the video for The Rabbit and the Wolf  below.
