Tim Comerford (bassist of Rage Against The Machine) will debut his new band Wakrat in a UK live debut at London’s Black Heart in Camden on Tuesday July 26th. All proceeds from this gig will go towards the homeless charity Shelter.
Comerford will reprise his role on a bass but will also come to the forefront as singer of the group. With attention going towards political nature and the same ethics that RATM possessed. Comerford has previously shown his allegiance to Shelter, with the band giving all their profits from their #1 Christmas Single in 2009 with Killing In The Name Of.
Wakrat will also open on the Prophets Of Rage tour (#MakeAmericaRageAgain) in the USA later this summer and have promised to crash the Republican Party Conference on July 19th in protest of Donald Trump.
Wakrat have signed to Earache Records and will release their new album on November 8th, which coincides with the US General Election.
Tickets for the UK exclusive gig at The Black Heart – Camden on Tuesday July 26th will be priced at just £10 and will go on sale on July 12th at 10am. More information can be found below – https://dice.fm/event/wakrat-26th-jul-the-black-heart-london-tickets
